‘It’s one thing to make a portrait of what a person looks like, it’s another thing to make a portrait of who they are.’
This has been my motto ever since I started photography and I do my best to make it visible in my photographs. I don’t like my work to be cheesy, I would rather capture a moody expression rather than a fake smile.
I believe that the greatest gift I could give my clients is providing them with an experience that helps them rediscover their authentic self, that results in artwork displayed in an album or a picture frame on their wall.
Originally from Romania, I’ve lived and traveled in Europe for much of my life. In 2004, I met my other half in Italy and I’ve called the United States my home since 2006. I love exploring this beautiful, culturally diverse country and enjoy meeting people everywhere I go. In the last 10 years traveling back and forth from Europe to the US gave me the chance to visit quite a few places and meet some incredible people.
I am a certified professional from The New York Institute of Photography and I am a member of Fearless Photographers. Some of my work was featured on Your Perfect Wedding Photographer, The Black Tie Bride, Save Family Photos, Bridal Beauty, United with Love, Artfully Wed.
Here’s more details on my work in this interview for MyWed.
My style is a combination of fine art and photojournalism. To me a wedding is all about moments of a couple who start a new life together, people who come to celebrate with you, the tears of being hugged by dad during the first dance, the small details that matter the most to you, it’s all about your love story that you want to pass down to the next generation.
As a mom, I also excel at photographing children. There is nothing better than capturing the wonder of discovery, the gentleness of trust and the joy of exploring the world! I’m always looking for ways to visually document the love within a family and in addition to traditional family portraits, I will work with you to create natural, one-of-a-kind photos that represent your family’s unique ties and unity. Happy to have won an Honorable Mention in the Black and White Child Photography Competition in the Fine Art category.
